Description

Position:
Bloomingdale's is seeking an experienced employment Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting:
Lead the recruiting efforts for Executives, SMT's, Sales Professionals and Support associates with focus on target businesses and executive hires prioritized by GM and HRM, in conjunction with Executive Recruiting.

Employment Manager to run the hiring center at Aventura to manage all career fairs, college recruiting and the assessment process. Responsible for managing all aspects of Taleo.

Develops and manages database of talent in S. Florida market and actively participates in networking activities, meetings and forums, including college recruiting, on behalf of Bloomingdale's.

Utilize all screening tools provided within the process to ensure selection of best candidates.

Training & Development:
Manage the process of stores new hire training

Train in-store experts as facilitators

Develop the expertise of managers in the recruiting process

Develop the expertise of executive team in the use and effectiveness of the interview to review process

Conduct ongoing B-Connected training, part 3, for new hires

Interviewing:
Employment Manager to present candidates in final phase of interview process

Coordinate and communicate interview calendar, ensuring timely follow up

Facilitate and oversee all new hire paperwork

Coordinate the administration of all appropriate background checks for new hires

Onboarding/Retention:
Responsible for all aspects of onboarding, including facilitation and coordinating schedule for initial developmental training

Lead and oversee mentor program, ensuring coordination of schedule and training for mentor and mentee

Partner with GM and HRM on internal/external shadow assignments

Partner in monitoring Associate turnover, recommend actions to improve and conduct exit interviews

Skills Summary:
Minimimum Education Level - Bachelors Degree Required

A minimum 3-5 years retail management, human resources and recruiting experience

Strong platform and facilitation skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate as a member of a team and leader

Demonstrated ability to be flexible, execute plans, strategies and achieve desired results

Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills

Superior communication and organizational skills

Ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively and persist in the face of obstacles

Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional business standards

Bilingual preferred
