Summary

This position has the responsibility to support TXU Energy’s agency bill payment assistance programs and associated social agency outreach. The Energy Assistance Representative is responsible for managing agency pledges and reconciling agency payments, bill payment agency support, company low-income, energy efficiency, and market education, and community involvement and outreach with partner agencies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:

Negotiate pledges and accept bill payment assistance from partner agencies on behalf of clients.
Resolve “angel of mercy” issues forwarded by social service agencies.
Manage and reconcile agency payments for client accounts.
Explain client account information to third parties acting as client advocate.
Participate in community outreach and events associated with third party bill payment agencies.
On-site agency client support.
Low-income program education.
Technical program education and training

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years job related experience
Ability to render good judgment and make sound decisions based on program parameters.
Occasional long, irregular hours.
Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone over 6 hours a day.
Occasional travel to agency facilities; occasional overnight travel.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and/or reaching to access job-related materials.
