Seeking an Engineer III to serve as a Switch Technician in support of a Base Telecommunications System (BTS) for Communications Squadrons (CS) located at Nellis and Creech Air Force Base (AFB), Nevada. As a Switch Technician, this person is responsible to monitor the switch and immediately begin corrective action as prescribed by Air Force Instructions (AFI) 33-111. As part of a team that provides services to ensure the availability of the BTS 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week, there are on call requirements for active call outs after work hours to remotely diagnose and clear alarms. Where resolution via remote access is not possible, the Switch Technician is required to respond personally to the on-site location within prescribed response times.
