As a Systems Engineer you will analyze simple and complex turbomachinery controls and all functional systems to assist in their overall design and validation. This is often requires customer interaction and presentation of findings. It also satisfies Elliott's contractual obligations Enable the proper and safe application of Elliott equipment. This is a position that adds value to customers and the Engineered Products Division of specialty turbomachinery .
The job tends to be highly analytical and requires both engineering judgment and computing ability.
You will be responsible to perform dynamic simulation of turbomachinery systems to determine the effects of the system design as well as the effects of startup shutdown and other operating cases as specified.
Assist in valve selection control and system design.
Maintain and advance Elliott Group's state of the art for dynamic simulations including Elliott's overall knowledge of turbomachinery systems.
Maintain and upgrade Elliott Group's control programs related to simulations and speed torque curves.
Provide consultations to the customer and to other engineering groups as related to turbomachinery systems.
In addition, you will be requested to:
Provide training and problem analysis and programming efforts requiring the following:
Create maintain test and/or document engineering computer programs as requested.
Perform other analysis functions as requesteds
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Engineering Degrees .
A strong compressor aerodynamic thermodynamic and mechanical background is recommended.
Analytical programming skills including FORTRAN Unix other languages.
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
1 year experience as a Controls Engineer or Process Engineer.
Past experience performing chemical plant or machinery simulations.
