Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering or four (4) years related experience. An EIT certification and prior work related experience is strongly preferred, but not required. It is a plus for the candidate to be experienced in the local Hampton Roads marketplace and already active with professional organizations and local groups.

Woolpert is seeking an Engineer-In-Training for our growing Infrastructure Management Group in our Hampton Roads area (Chesapeake, VA) office. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in wastewater collection systems including experience with analysis, design, bidding and construction. Duties of the EIT, in which prior experience in some or all areas is strongly desired, may include wastewater system modeling in Mike Urban or other relevant modeling software; editing and queries of data in ESRI ArcGIS software; preparation of engineering reports for preliminary engineering design, I/I analysis or rehabilitation recommendations; design and preparation of construction drawings for wastewater collection systems in AutoCAD Civil 3D; engineering estimates and quantity takeoffs; preparation of construction specifications and bid documents; and field observation of wastewater system construction. Duties may also include support of water distribution or stormwater design and analysis projects as well as NPDES stormwater compliance activities.
