This position is responsible for designing and managing Water treatment and Process Engineering projects for R&D that could integrate into the EKOCENTER and / or KO system. The focus of the job will be to convert concepts into Alpha, Beta and Commercial systems that can be deployed in markets where needed. Developing and executing the test protocols for Alpha testing and validation followed by Beta and the executing in the field with local Partners, BU’s and Bottlers.
(EKOCENTER Specific) Develop standards and criteria for EKOCENTER regulatory and safety requirements test and validate the EKOCENTER concepts to the required local and global standards; propose and develop alternates if needed to ensure compliance to the regulatory requirements. This would include the mechanical and electrical safety requirements as applicable along with Occupational health and safety requirements.
Conduct Research in the field of beverage processing and water treatment arena. Multifunctional teams will need to be created and managed to evaluate from our consumer’s point of view the merits of the new approaches. External network will need to be created to successfully search for promising approaches in the processing industry.
Once technologies have been shown to have merit then the process for ensuring successful commercialization of the technology will need to be managed through coordinated efforts of many across the company and our bottlers
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work in partnership with Global R&D, Universities, Suppliers, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering and Manufacturing to identify, develop or invent new process technologies with the focus on water treatment that can deliver a sustainable competitive advantage and / or facilitate the development of new products globally.
2. Manage multifunctional teams and partners for the development of new technologies, from bench to pilot to commercial plant trials and validation.
3. Through extended multifunctional teams, support the commercialization of the new process and product/package technologies.
4. Beverage Processing and filling technologies including Water treatment system design, validation and commercialization – Customization as needed for specific products or local requirements.
5. Installation, Start-up and commission of Sustainable systems and hand over to local operating partners
6. Developing requirements and specifications for modular kiosk type solutions that with plug and play solutions for water, power, communications and modular options for future community / village center.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
•Innovation and R&D : Must be highly creative, but at the same time possess analytical skills necessary to effectively assess ideas from both internal and external sources, and prioritize resources

•Strong Engineering background required with experience in physical and chemical processes.
•Project and program management skills required
•Knowledge of Food and Beverage industry a plus
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience managing projects in Process Development and/or Engineering function, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry

Education & Professional Qualifications:
BS, MS or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical or Food Engineering / Science
Travel Requirements : 5 – 50% of work time depending on project activities.
