The engineering assistant will assist the project management engineering group in the Metals Business Unit to support the manufacturing operations. This role will help to provide oversight on the floor to aid in project management system effectiveness for manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Project Manager with PLM data entry including time lines, action item lists, etc….
Manages monthly project status Matrix
Composes administrative correspondence and drafts (external and internal) such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting materials, minutes. Material frequently confidential in nature.
Report out Prototype Shop Cost Center results monthly
Support Director of Engineering
Ability to work in an open, transparent and collaborative environment.
Coordinates customer visits
Involved in project and deliverables tracking
Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Must adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
Must be able to work extended hours when required.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:
Associate degree from accredited school
3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or a fast-paced office environment
Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Minimum 2 year degree, or applicable relevant experience required.
Basic Computer skills required, proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel preferred.
