Engineering Specialist
Requisition Number POS1259

Location Multi-Shot - Eau Claire, WI

Responsibilities
  • Manage the AQP process from kick-off to PAR meeting including facilitating meetings, maintaining project timelines, ensuring checklists and tasks are complete, analyzing and interpreting quality measurements, preparing and issuing updates for customers, and ensuring production packets are created
  • Provide support for sample activities including scheduling samples and getting sampled parts to the metrology lab, participating in tool samples, reporting sample results to the engineer, and sending samples to the customer
  • Support engineers by collecting and providing information to internal customers and perform some engineering tasks such as generating engineering change orders, ensuring internal project paperwork is up-to-date once in production
  • Support engineer during customer visits to ensure customer needs are met
  • Interact with external customers on issues not requiring technical information from the engineer such as corrective actions, customer approval/submissions, etc.
  • Manage customized IQMS activities such as generating and maintaining customized Bill of Materials and routings, customized items, purchase requisitions, shipping labels and operator instructions
  • Maintain deviation/waiver database
  • Maintain engineering forecast
  • Maintain sample tracking system database
  • Evaluate new print revisions for acceptance
Qualifications - Education & Experience
  • Technical associates degree; or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in an engineering or customer-related discipline at a plastic injection molder
  • At least one (1) year project management experience
Qualifications - Skills & Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills including ERP systems
  • Working understanding of accounting principles
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of quality systems and metrology
