The Global Supply Chain Trainee Development Program is designed as a 1-year program to provide trainees the appropriate training and learning experiences that will prepare them for their first career position within the Company. The first part of the program will include the following:
An orientation to our Company and Division
An overview of the operations within a paint plant, a specialty plant and a distribution service center (warehouse).
A total Supply Chain overview (from product concept to finished product)
An overview of other support functions including: Accounting, IT, Engineering and Human Resources.
Transactional Lean and Six Sigma Training
The trainees will also complete appropriate rotations within their function. At the end of the 1-year period, all trainees will come together again for additional trainee development activities, including managerial training, presentations and graduation activities.
The Engineering Trainee completes the following rotations:
Supply Chain Overview
Support functions - Accounting, IT, Human Resources,
Six Sigma Green Belt
Functional rotations include: Process Engineering, Plant Technical Services, Quality Improvement Lab, and Plant Engineering
The Engineering Trainee requires a Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Target jobs include: Process Engineers, Maintenance Planners, QA Supervisors or Continuous Improvement Managers.
