English Department The English Department at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks qualified candidates for five temporary, full-time positions in writing for the academic year 2013-2014 (AA#’s 20-2-210, 20-2-211, 20-2-212, 20-2-213, 20-2-214) at the Instructor level. Required: terminal degree (PhD/MFA) in English or closely related field or MA in Rhetoric and Composition completed by August 20, 2013. Recent college composition teaching experience required; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off-site educational locations. Voluntary summer contracts may be available.

Finalists for these positions must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process with department faculty. Appointment contingent upon recommendation by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check. Completing these searches is contingent upon available funding.
