Prestigious enterprise firm in Libertyville, IL seeks an Enterprise Security Architect to to build and manage their security program globally, to develop appropriate controls and to describe requirements for business partners and service providers.
The Enterprise Security Architect will design and build the enterprise technical architecture and ensure alignment with business requirements, IT strategies, practices, policies and architecture principles. The Enterprise Security Architect with have an emphasis on security and privacy.
The Enterprise Security Architect will also work with project teams to ensure that appropriate controls are implemented for new projects or in response to changing regulations. The Enterprise Security Architect will also evaluate new products and develop solution architectures in line with business requirements.
The Enterprise Security Architect will ensure security compliance through audits, risk assessments and issue management in order to maintain a complaint, audit ready, posture.
The Enterprise Security Architect serves as an advisor to senior management as it relates to security issues at the corporation.
The Enterprise Security Architect will also act as a core member of the technical review board.

BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent related field of study Certification in security, risk management or audit Length of Experience:
5 - 10 years experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management or compliance in a regulated industry. Minimum of 10 years of diverse and progressive IT experience. Minimum of 3 years architecture and/or design experience. Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of state, federal and international security laws, regulations and industry best practices. Experience in auditing frameworks and international standards, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, BS 10012, SAS 70, COBIT and ITIL. Experience as an auditor is a plus. Experience or familiarity with governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tools. Strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice by balancing business needs with risks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (EA) modelling. Broad & deep technical knowledge across security technologies, user management processes & disciplines. Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, and persuasiveness. Strong leadership. Experience working globally. Strong understanding of both IT business applications and technology infrastructure. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
