Summary
The Business/Systems Analyst will work either on-site at the customers office or in remote environment providing production supports services. The ideal candidate will have large enterprise application experience - CRM, ERP, Oracle/SAP translates well, have experience gathering systems requirements/SRS, is able to travel up to 75%, and has either mobile workforce management or field service application experience. This individual must be a strong business operations person and have a solid technical background, be a highly motivated self-starter, customer-focused, effective communicator and be able to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Additionally, you will have outstanding critical-thinking and problem solving skills, coupled with excellent client management abilities. The Business/Systems Analyst will be involved in the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and implementation of the various projects that result from client interactions during the lifecycle of the software solution. You can live anywhere, but preference is Chicagonear alarge airport. There will be 60% - 75% travel depending on the project (home on weekends.) You will work from home when not at client site - two weeks at client/two weeks at home and so on. This is either a 6 month C to P, or open ended contract. This is NOT A FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS ANALYST position - must have systems gathering experience. Client is ready to hire!
Responsibilities
Participate as a member of the team to meet with customer representatives and assist the customer in identifying and assessing its business and system requirements
Present current baseline technical capabilities of platform to clients, and actively lead defining the clients business needs
Prepare and deliver face-to-face or web-based professional software demonstrations, presentations and product briefings to C-level decision-making customer team.
Assist in writing, preparation and delivery of solution proposals, RFIs, and RFPs to potential customers.
Assist existing and potential customers with software evaluations and proof-of-concepts and actively participate in the implementation of pilots.
Serve as liaison between the sales, technical and support teams.
Using a consultative approach, the Business Analyst will cultivate customer relationships, manage expectations and communicate comprehensive solutions that best leverage the value that client's technology brings to the customer.
Work with Company clients and with their technology center to produce Business Requirements Specifications and Solution Scoping Documents.
Must be able to articulate the vision and how to connect the dots both verbally and in writing. Must be able to lead, drive process and discussion - lead the client to think outside the box and do things differently.
Involved in the pursuit cycle of prospective customers.
Review and approve the detailed technical designs produced by the technology center.
Qualifications
A strong background in Enterprise Software and complex delivery is essential.
5 + years of demonstrated experience as a Business System Analyst in an Enterprise Software environment -preferably working in the workforce management industry and/or with BSS, OSS and/or CRM systems, gathering system requirements and creating system requirement documents. (SRS)
Must be able to travel 60-75% of the time.
Proficiency should include basic flowcharting (Visio or Omni Graffle) and intermediate MS office (Word and Excel) skills. System integration experience with creating data mapping, system mapping, or technical specification (Interface) documentation.
Must have the large enterprise application experience - again, CRM, ERP, Oracle/SAP translates well.
Project based consulting background with client-facing skills
Prefer mobile workforce management or field service application experience.
Oral and written communications skills: ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users and advise and influence clients.
Applied skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, outstanding verbal and written communications and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, on site consulting, etc.).
Proven ability to prioritize assigned work to deliver high-quality, on-time, on budget, successful implementations.
Knowledge of and experience in SaaS-based mobile workforce applications.
Multi-national and multi-cultural experience.
Education
Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering discipline is required. A Master's degree would receive favorable consideration.
