Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Langan has an opening for an Environmental Project Manager in our Irvine, CA office. As the successful manager, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing clients in the Southern California Area, as well as developing, managing, and collaborating with a team of professionals. You demonstrate an energetic, entrepreneurial and professional demeanor, as well as strong technical and communication skills. You also possess a minimum of eight years of related experience with environmental assessments and remediation and can oversee preparation of proposals and technical reports. In addition, you are experienced in reviewing the work of staff and managing performance, running projects and managing billings, as well as effectively interacting with firm Associates and Principals.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related environmental field (environmental engineering, geology or hydrogeology) is required, Master’s degree preferred;

California PE or PG licensure required;

Must have the desire and ability to seek out new business opportunities and develop additional clients while maintaining billability;

A minimum of eight years’ experience planning and implementing site assessments including soil, groundwater and soil gas investigations. Regulatory compliance experience and remediation design and field oversight is a plus;

Proven leadership and ability to function as a seller / doer;

Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills;

Experience in report and proposal writing including sub-contractor cost estimation;

Experience preparing project specifications and detailed cost estimates;

Active participation in local professional organizations;

Effectively manage projects from concept through completion;

Experience managing and mentoring staff and working directly with clients and regulatory agencies;

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; and,

A collaborative team builder with excellent interpersonal and social skills.
