However, it is vital that all activities that take place within the organization comply with all regulatory guidelines and specifications and that all laws are adhered to correctly. For this reason, our Environmental Compliance department is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to assist with a variety of regulatory compliance activities related to air & water quality, waste management, chemical use, and employee safety. This position will include MSDS management, storm water programs, EHS related permits and inspections, supervisor training, and contract administration. The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will also be in charge of developing and maintaining records necessary to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Requirements: Must have BS degree, EHS related a plus, familiarity with SCAQMD, Cal/OSHA, and hazardous waste rules desired. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills a must. Ability to manage multiple tasks required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
