Kennedy/Jenks Consultants is an employee-owned, full-service, engineering and environmental sciences consulting firm, serving water environment, transportation, and industrial services clients throughout the United States. We have been delivering innovative solutions to complex problems since 1919 and are currently looking for an experienced, senior-level (15+ years of consulting experience, both office and field) Environmental Project Manager for our Federal Way , Washington office.

What you’ll be doing: Working with a large environmental team consisting of scientists and engineers solving complex environmental problems. Working with a team, you will be developing work plans for site investigations and remediation activities, preparing investigation reports, evaluation of remedial technologies/alternatives, conducting feasibility studies, preparing remedial action plans, assisting with the development of design of remediation systems, preparing bid specifications and evaluating contractor bids, follow through during construction and operations of the designed treatment technology, monitoring and evaluation of treatment effectiveness, regulatory reporting and negotiations for closure. Travel required on a limited basis to support ongoing environmental project s .

What you’ll need: The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with closure of environmental cleanup sites under Washington State or Federal regulations, a background in performing site investigations, evaluating remedial technologies and experience in negotiation of cleanup activities with state and federal regulatory agencies. A BS/MS in Geology/Hydrogeology and professional registration (RG or LG) is required. The successful candidate will bring professional familiarity with the railroad industry, prior project management experience, and a keen ability to develop and motivate teams and move project s forward to completion. Strong business development skills (both with the railroad and other industry) are necessary to help expand the group.
