This Engineer is to serve as the focal point for development and optimization of process equipment in an FDA regulated environment. Will be responsible for documentation of design specifications, process requirements, process validation, process testing and implementation for new and existing process machinery. Will also provide maintenance engineering support for plant operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops thorough understanding of assigned processes.
Identifies and evaluates opportunities for process and facility improvement.
Provides project scope, design, cost estimation, construction management, start-up and validation detail for equipment and systems.
Secures project funding through capital and expense plans and updates.
Implements improvements on schedule and budget.
Provides engineering service for issues arising in existing processes.
Coordinates and provides technical leadership for Corporate engineering resources.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is required.
- Minimum four years industrial experience or ten plus years experience developing manufacturing equipment.
- Prefer experience in a pharmaceutical plant developing equipment and processes.
- Experience in PLC programming is required.
- ACAD and SolidWorks experience is preferred.
