Position Overview

Develop CADs, 3D renderings, graphics, PowerPoint presentations, artwork, videos and other multi-media collateral for the Sales and Operations team. This includes, but is not limited to, generating materials for proposals, pre-production planning, live shows and executive meetings and operational forms and location website. Candidate should understand the process of live event execution as it relates to event technology from conceptualization, production and post production.

Key Job Responsibilities (Weight %)

Sales Support (35%)

Generate 2D CADs, 3D renderings and graphics for Sales proposals.
Assist Sales team in compiling proposals using the PSAV proposal generator (as needed).
Candidate should be able to create diagrams, renderings and assemble proposals quickly, accurately and with a high degree of quality – often under critical deadlines.
Photograph in house shows during setup and execution phases to maintain an archival library to use for future sales proposals and marketing, as well as use in training materials and on location web site.

Operations Support (30%)

Work with Project Managers to create 2D ground plans and elevations for use by technicians to guide setup, as well as for use by hotel departments for seating, table layout, staging needs and power hookups.
Candidate should be able to create diagrams, renderings and assemble proposals quickly, accurately and with a high degree of quality – often under critical deadlines.
Work with Rigging Coordinator and to maintain CAD templates of facility as venue upgrades or changes occur.
Pull, archive, and transfer video footage from DVD, hard drives and tape based formats as well as duplicate CDs and DVDs.
Manage archival media recordings of meetings and events (collect, QC, and label media daily to insure no missed recordings); Fix video and audio issues in post production as possible.
Create, adapt and/or maintain existing form library based on needed information gathering or capture – for example, exhibitor order forms, add on forms, pricing guides, show reports, time off requests, etc.
Prep or create art work for lighting gobo creation.
Prepare and update training materials (presentations, videos, handouts, on-line media, etc.) to be used by DOO, Production Leads, and/or other Operations team members for training and development of event technology specialists.

Additional duties commensurate with experience and skill sets would include, but not be limited to: prepping Audience Response System PowerPoint files prior to sessions, creating or preparing Digital Lectern Files for playback, creating digital signage content based on presentation templates or dedicated software platforms, shooting and editing long and short format videos to be used by end user PSAV or hotel clients.

Company Support (25%)

All duties as described above executed on behalf of other PSAV locations for different venues and productions.

Location Support (10%)

Maintain location website using web based content management system (Sitecore)

Required Skills

Intermediate to advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite for graphic artwork creation and modification, video editing and conversion, multimedia and motion graphics creation.

Intermediate to advanced experience with Vectorworks Spotlight and Renderworks to create production ground plans and elevations as well as 3D renderings for pre-visualization.

Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly PowerPoint. Knowledge of Apple Keynote and other presentation applications a plus.

High comfort level on Mac and PC.

Knowledge of the set-up requirements and layout of audio, video, lighting and rigging systems for a live environment.

Junior-Senior level AS or BS candidates for Graphic Design and/or CAD studies preferred

Ability to learn quickly; strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to create and develop visual response to communication problems.

Able to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force, customer base and senior level management.

Experience with management of multiple tasks/projects while maintaining budget and time constraints.

Portrays a polished professional image to meet company dress code requirements.

Must be able to accommodate a rotating work schedule to include nights and weekends.
