Work closely with an established global team of partner organizations and suppliers in the successful delivery of ABWR and ESBWR projects. The body of work includes the detailed design of new commercial BWR nuclear power plants in support of NRC certification as well as the development of plant construction procurement specifications.
In addition, you will:
Provide leadership to a large engineering team focused on delivery of design products
Oversee the successful development / deployment of all necessary Engineering tools and processes
Prepare requirements specifications and associated detailed design documents for mechanical systems, I&C / Electrical, Systems Integration and Analysis, Turbine Island / Balance of Plant systems, and Civil / Structural
Meet / successfully satisfy all schedules and engineering budgets
Represents Engineering as the primary interface with the GM, New Power Plants
Leadership of ~600 technical / engineers (FTE / contractors) in a very complex / dynamic business environment
On-time / quality delivery of equipment packages and engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures and regulatory guidelines
Support GEH Nuclear quality requirements including design reviews, technical investigations and the 10CFR50 ‘Corrective Action Process’
Interface for sundry internal / external customers as well as the NRC
Support NRC licensing / certification activities via well controlled design documentation and responses to ‘Requests for Additional Information’
Support commercial / marketing opportunities
Support company initiatives such as Six Sigma, process / continuous improvements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline
Minimum of 15 years’ experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, operation and/or nuclear power plant construction
Minimum 5 years of experience of nuclear products, customers, suppliers and regulators

Master’s degree in Engineering
Track record of leading complex / multi-functional in a very complex / dynamic business environment while delivering results
