The Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director (ED) and select senior staff (at EDs direction), including the Managing & Artistic Director. The job entail coordinating and maintaining calendars; scheduling meetings and managing calendars; handling phone calls; preparing materials for meetings using standard presentation software; typing, faxing, and filing; and solving problems in a creative, effective and practical manner. The EA will also support members of the Board of Directors and key Committees, at the EDs direction and coordinating closely with the VP Development and other key Development staff. Communicates with Jazz at Lincoln Center staff at all levels, from senior management and the Board of Directors to donors, sponsors, and government officials to patrons and concert-goers.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience (non-profit or performing arts environment a plus).
Ideally, knowledge about Jazzbut at least, a passion for it.
Proficiency in social and digital media, and strong skills in Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
Highly organized, motivated, and able to multi-task while maintaining an attention to detail while remaining gracious and calm.
Great people skills, fun to be around, and can communicate effectively and clearly while demonstrating diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
Can work nights and weekends in support of concerts and other special events.
High standards of personal and professional integritypurpose-driven and reliable.
