MACPAC, a commission that advises the U.S. Congress on Medicaid and CHIP policy issues, is seeking an executive director. The position calls for an individual who can provide senior leadership, strategic direction, and management and oversight of all activities necessary to fulfill MACPAC’s mission. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the Commission and its staff, directing all MACPAC analytic and research activities, and serving as the primary contact with MACPAC Commission members, the Congress and other federal and state stakeholders.

Qualified applicants must provide evidence of the ability to serve in a senior leadership capacity and possess sophisticated analytical skills, a strong knowledge of the Medicaid and CHIP programs, superior written and oral communication skills, and experience in interacting with government and non-government officials. A doctorate, master’s degree or other graduate degree in health policy, health services research, public policy, public health or other related field and 15 or more years of policy experience are required.
