Operational accountability for all facilities management activities for Corporate, Wireline, and Wireless administrative portfolios across the United States, EMEA, and AsiaPac.
Lead the management of a physical environment of more than 5500 locations and 110 million square feet
Develop and deploy a transformational cost reduction strategy that will result in year-over-year savings, as well as overall asset optimization and quality improvements
Identify, prioritize and plan improvements that align with the execution of strategic consolidations, enhanced work environments, and other customized work solutions
Transform operations and relentlessly drive expense reductions through strategic outsourcing initiatives with global service providers applying integrated vendor management methodologies
Provide vendor management of third party providers in an outsourced management model
Develop and implement a strategic facilities management plan that sets transformational efficiency, cost, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer service goals, and identifies key issues, risks, appropriate solutions, and financial projections in support of business unit and overall corporate needs
Drive the evolution of outsourcing among integrated vendors and centralized management strategies to optimize the use of capital
Plan for short and long-term facilities management requirements in support of Corporate, Wireline, and Wireless businesses
Establish policies and governance to enable decision-making that supports corporate philosophy and culture
Manage all operations of the physical environment including building maintenance, asset management, infrastructure systems, MEP systems, utilities and third party vendor management
Create an annual business plan to include projected capital expenditures, contracting, operating and energy costs, personnel, and departmental budgets
Provide monthly financial reports to monitor performance and ensure compliance with annual operating plan and appropriate business operations
Maintain frequent communications among various stakeholders to include executive management, government officials, community leaders, and organizations, globally
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in progressive facilities management experience, including corporate leadership for the last 3 years
Demonstrated success in leading transformational cost rationalization, asset management, and outsourcing strategies deploying integrated vendor management
Validated experience in transforming, consolidating, and streamlining corporate organizations and processes
Highly analytical; financially astute; quantitatively capable
Demonstrated experience and ability to lead people and companies with clear targets and within a complex and process-oriented matrix organization
Has built an extensive network of relationships both inside and outside the company
Thinks in new ways about problems and issues. Champions creativity through personal example and develops these qualities across the organization
The ability to envisage problems or challenges from differing perspectives, and identify innovative solutions, or creative means to achieve the desired outcome
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or 20 years direct experience in facilities management.
