POSITION SUMMARY: HITN is seeking an executive producer to create, plan, implement and manage a full function television channel within in HITN†s production house. Reporting directly to the VP of Production and the CEO.CONTENT DEVELOPMENT |
•Works with the VP of Content, the programmer, trafficker, On-Air Hosts, and production staff to create original entertaining content that appeals to the target audience including production elements, features, specials, interviews, and other information and entertainment.
•Meet with the VP of Content regarding the programming on a weekly basis to review on-air performance and establish on-going goals for the show and the channel.
•Carry out other programming related assignments as determined by the VP of Content, which includes think tanks, solicitation of topic ideas and developing org content.
•Outlines program to be produced to production & programming staff and evaluates finished script. Composes or edits program script to meet management or other requirements.
•Coordinate remote productions including crews, equipment and return feeds; Production department and individual program production budgets; Maintaining any and all policies and laws relating to program content
•Addresses day-to-day programming issues that may arise from content development.
•Coach on-air hosts on their delivery style, content and formats for specific shows.
•Collaborate with producers, co-hosts, and associate producers to generate interesting show topics and schedule guests that will create lively dialogue that engages the interests of the audience.
•Articulate viewpoints and personal experiences in a manner that helps the audience feel a personal connection to the content.
•Provides thematic counsel and supervision for all program development and presentation.
•Provide the team with upcoming film, TV and digital suggestions and placement strategies for new business pitches and decks. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
•Represents television network, acting as liaison to independent producers of television series produced for network broadcast.
•Participation in presentations to network sponsors, funding sources and community; Travel as required.

•Plan and execute promotional efforts to increase channel awareness, listenership and subscriber satisfaction.
•Promote the network, the show, the channel and the company positively on and off the air to maximize the growth of subscribers and listeners.
•Strategically pitch and prop our clients' products and brands into targeted television shows, film, digital series and music videos.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in the entertainment industry at the production, network and studio levels.
•Pursues and closes opportunities.
•Provides overall strategic direction and counsel to clients beyond core program implementation.
•Has extensive knowledge and contact in the affiliated industries of clients.NETWORK DEVELOPMENT
•Coordinates various aspects of production such as audio work, scenes, music, timing, camera work, and script writing.
•Gives instructions to production & programming staff to schedule broadcast and to develop and coordinate details to obtain desired production.
•Reviews production to ensure objectives and quality control are
•Notifies various departments of changes in daily operation schedules attained.
•Views taped program to select scenes to be used for promotional purposes.
•Coordinates production details to produce live and taped television programs from locations distant from station.
•Coordinate/Assist Engineering Department concerning facilities development and equipment selection; Training and knowledge of digital facilities capabilities for self and staff
•Introduce contests and promotions and ensure proper execution of campaigns.
•Communicate on a daily basis with productions including below the line crew, producers, writers, directors, and network and studio contacts.
•Research trades and industry resources for upcoming production opportunities.
•Contribute to daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly client calls, meetings and brainstorms.
•Maintain ongoing education and understanding of NMA clients† marketing goals and initiatives.
•Contribute and participate in activation of placement programs. ADMINISTRATIVE
•Reviews budget and expenditures for programs or commercial productions for conformance to budgetary restrictions.
•Interviews and selects production staff and cast principals from staff members or outside talent.
•Directly supervises employees and/or interns
•Directly responsibility for the hiring, termination, performance, evaluation, work flow and day to day supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable policies and procedures etc.
•Persistently seeks information needed for quality communications from clients, peers, and the marketplace
•Identifies gaps and critical issues in programs, projects, strategies; clarifies complex problems, ideas, issues
•Consistently helps subordinates to see 'The Big Picture'; encourages and motivates others to strive for the next level
•Partners with division management in assuring appropriate account and division margins through strong budget control
•Keeps current with all necessary training to support business and staff growth
