This employment opportunity is with the Oregon Department of Corrections , Operations Division in the Behavioral Health Services section located in Salem. This recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy. This position is represented by AFSCME.

Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to provide confidential clerical support services to the administrator of Behavioral Health Services.

Qualifications

Your application materials will be reviewed to verify that you have:
  • three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included:
    • one year at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generating of documents; and
    • lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.

No substitution will be made for the one year at the full performance level.

Transcripts must be submitted to receive credit for education coursework at the time of application. It is highly recommended that you attach your transcripts even if you meet qualifications with work experience.   • Ability to work with staff located in various institutions, including contractors and volunteers;
  • Proficiency in AFAMIS;
  • Proficiency in DOC400; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

The pay and benefits on all announcements may change without notice. During the current biennium ending June 30, 2013, DOC employees are required to take mandatory unpaid time off (furlough) days.
