SUMMARY
Responsible for cutting and tagging rolls, keeping raw material feeders full, quality tests and data entry. Participate in the operation of all manufacturing process equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sets up, operates and provides minor maintenance to extruders, grinders, pelletizers and all support equipment.

Performs quality inspections and tests.

Cuts rolls, weighs and prepares roll tickets.

Monitors and measures silo levels.

Recognizes operational and quality problems and knows the correct machine adjustments to make.

Prepares production logs, product tags and time cards as necessary.

Operates scrap grinder as required and understands recycle system.

Transports roll stock to warehouse.

Collects SPC Quality data to chart and record accurately.

Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.

Will be using scanners and entering data into our production system.

Basic computer and Excel experience preffered.

Other duties as assigned.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable or caustic chemical; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
