Company Information: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit Youth and Family Support agencies working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,200 dedicated workers and serves approximately 10,000 families per year. Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families.
Summary of Position: Salaried, Full Time Program Director position is responsible for managing behavioral health and contract programs providing services to children from multiple referral agencies and requires a commitment to strength based, cultural competence, unconditional care; family assessments, creativity and pro-active planning; managing and developing program through your ability to supervise and motivate staff.
This position requires knowledge of New York regulations governing the delivery of behavioral health services. Sound clinical skills including treatment plan writing/development and conducting mental health assessments a must. Strong background in management and/or budget development needed.
Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing a must. Requires reliable transportation, valid driver license, and minimum car insurance of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability. Position requires background checks to be completed at time of hire and annually.
Salary range negotiable depending on experience and education. Masters Degree is preferred.
