General Summary: Responsible for the safe, economical, consistent and legal operation of company aircraft in compliance with all applicable federal regulations as well as company policies, standards and procedures. Pilots in command of an aircraft are directly responsible for and are the final authority on the safe legal and consistent operation of that aircraft.
Duties and responsibilities include: Performs the safe, legal and consistent operation of the aircraft in accordance with all federal/national aviation regulations and company policies, standards and procedures. Operates, analyzes and appropriately reacts to all aircraft operational functions such as aircraft performance, internal and external communications, air traffic and climate conditions. Performs flight operations tasks including aircraft takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, landing, taxi in an parking in accordance with aviation mandated standards. Coordinates tasks to permit a number of functions, including but not limited to flight fueling, loading, passenger handling, associated duties to transport passengers and cargo in a safe manner in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures and appropriate federal/national regular. Conducts pre and post flight inspection of the aircraft to ensure air worthiness. Maintains expert knowledge of assigned aircraft equipment type and current operational procedures. Coordinates activities with others, both in the cockpit and in the operational departments.
The following skills are required for this position: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 6 years experience as a professional pilot is required. Must hold a Commercial, Instrument, and Multi-Engine Rating. ATP written completed. It is a requirement ATP must be completed within the first 180 days of employment. FCC Radio Telephone Operator Permit (international operations) is required. Recent experience as First Officer on multiengine aircraft in high-density areas; Total time - 2000 hours, 750 multi-engine, turbine experience desired. Minimum of 100 hours instrument and 100 hours night is required. Flight check by Chief Pilot or Training Officer is required. Ability to satisfactorily pass company physical examination and stress test is required. A college degree is preferred for this position. Corporate Pilot experience is an asset for this position.
This position requires both domestic and international travel.
