GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
A primary responsibility is to make sure the Front Office is running smoothly and efficiently. Oversee Cashiers and Cashier Supervisors; help coordinate inter-office problems with other departments. Assist corporate HR department with local HR duties. Oversee customer relations and ensure that the customer receives excellent customer service.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Coordinate schedules for Cashiers and Cashier Supervisors; evaluate front office employees and determine pay raises based on performance, attendance, and efficiency; run spiff reports and count spiff money for weekly spiffs; continual training of cashiers; ensure that the money attached to spiffs are accurate and returned; work closely with customer service reps and other managers to alleviate any problems that may arise concerning merchandise returns and deliveries; help customers with current and past transactions concerning purchases, returns, financing, or any other account issues they may have; monitor Cashiers and Cashier Supervisors times; making sure closing duties are performed by all cashiers; release cashiers for lunch and end of day; train new hires on all Company policies regarding the front office; process daily, weekly, and monthly reports; handle any misc. duties and/or issues from Cashiers, Supervisors, Customer Service, Accounting, Sales, Human Resources, and Upper Management. Interviewing, completing performance appraisals, counseling forms, commendations, and terminations when necessary.
Enter and make changes for new employees, rehires, and transfers in Paycom. Conduct new hire employee orientation. Make new hire folders. Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures. Coordinate and schedule background checks and drug testing. Sort and distribute paychecks. Prepare payroll reports as needed. Enter changes to W-4 elections, direct deposits, address changes, etc. Employee benefits enrollment. Maintain and keep I-9’s up to date and in compliance. Provide employee relations guidance and support to managers on coaching and counseling, commendations, and terminations based on Corporate HR guidance. Back up other human resource staff as needed. Any other duties as directed by management.
Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members; excellent knowledge of Storis; basic mathematical skills required; management experience required; positive attitude whenworking with customers; strong computer skills required; knowledge of employment and safety procedures. Supervisory experienced required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.
