Financial Services Office - Business Tax Compliance Senior Manager - Asset Management

: Review tax provisions for mutual funds (regulated investment companies) and work with the audit team for tax disclosure and tax related footnotes in the audit financial statements for these entities. Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct/monitor engagements. Manage a compliance group by assisting with forecasting future compliance work, delegating work effectively, and resolving staffing issues. Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service. Team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services. Determine all information required to ensure/complete accurate tax compliance products within the budget. Formulate a plan to gather/communicate information. Determine areas of exposure and adapt to challenges in the compliance process. Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations. Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client businesses. Guide staff and other junior tax professionals. Keep up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations. Develop a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery, keeping team members informed of work status, actively seek assignments when unassigned, proactively seek opportunities to provide tax services, challenge traditional procedures used in the past, and attempt to find effective approaches.

Requirements:
Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, or Law plus 8 years of post-bachelor's, progressive, related work experience; or a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, or Laws plus 7 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, 7 years must be relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or the financial services industry.

Must have CPA certification, Enrolled Agent or JD.

Must have broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax.
