We are currently searching for a Fabricator/Machinist/Welding Technician responsible for working closely with engineers to support R&D programs. The qualified person must be able to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, repair and maintain specialty equipment, molds and dies
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
  • Must have experience operating CNC equipment
  • Must have experience in basic welding (arc, tig, mig)
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders
  • Troubleshoot equipment
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Required Skills and Experience
  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of CNC, welding and machining certification preferred
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC; vacuum furnace experience is preferred
  • Must have welding skills to include MIG and TIG
  • Experience in CNC mill and EDM preferred; experience in PLC systems a plus
  • Basic computer and math skills required
  • Ability to read, write and interpret instructions, diagrams and CAD drawings are necessary
  • Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge a plus
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Capable of lateral thinking and multi-tasking
  • Comfortable working either alone or as part of a team
  • Disciplined enough to help keep projects on schedule
  • Must be detail-oriented, capable of keeping accurate records, and possess good verbal and written communication skills
