Perform pipefitting and fabrication on mobile aircraft refuelers and stationary fuel pump skids in accordance with manufacturer and industry guidelines for the Nation's Leading Independent Aviation Fuel Supplier. Assist in the shop maintenance and/or production teams as needed.
DUTIES
Be able to physically climb ladders and vessels of various shapes and sizes.
Be able to work in enclosed or confined spaces.
Be willing and able to wear personal protection equipment as required by craftspersons job tasks.
Be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
Be proficient in Carbon/Stainless/Aluminum TIG and MIG processes as well as general Pipefitter/Fabricator duties.
Must have a comprehensive set of mechanic's tools for fabrication and upfitting medium/heavy duty trucks
Valid driver's license
Self starter with good vision and color discrimination
Have the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members
Occasional travel required
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent with three years of airport maintenance or related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training , and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Completion of a two year Associates Degree in the Pipefitter/Welder craft; or
Completion of a recognized Apprenticeship Program; or
Minimum of two years Military training in a related field; or
Three years of pipefitter/welder experience in a petrochemical industry
