This position vacancy exists within the Physical Plant at the Two Rivers Correctional institution (TRCI) located in Umatilla. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates.

This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.

Example of Duties

This position uses knowledge of pneumatic and electrical/electronic controls to perform skilled work installing, calibrating, repairing and maintaining HVAC control systems, building control systems, and energy management control systems to ensure safe and correct environmental and ecological conditions at the institution .

Qualifications for Facility Energy Technician 3

Your application materials will be reviewed to verify that you have:
  • two years of experience installing, altering, calibrating, repairing, and assisting with programming large building computerized and mechanical control systems; AND
  • graduation from an accredited school (two year program) in heating and air-conditioning; AND
  • a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Limited Energy Technician Class A (LEA) or Class B (LEB) license or equivalent; AND
  • a Universal Refrigerant Handling certificate, or be able to obtain within two months.
OR
  • four years of experience installing, altering, calibrating, repairing, and assisting with programming large building computerized or mechanical control systems; AND
  • a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Limited Energy Technician Class A (LEA) or Class B (LEB) license or equivalent; AND
  • a Universal Refrigerant Handling certificate, or be able to obtain with two months.
