As the Facility Manager you will have responsibility over maintenance and custodial within a K-12 school district. You will be responsible for motivating your management team, budgeting labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials required for cost-effective operations. Must be highly organized with good time management skills
Must possess strong people and leadership capabilities and the ability to be a strong communicator
Must be able to show that they have successfully managed a strong maintenance and custodial team in the past
Must have strong client relationship building skills at multiple levels and must be politically savvy
Must possess visionary leadership, must be a self starter and have team building skills
Must have proven track record for managing people in a diverse environment
Must have strong technical skills - strong maintenance and custodial experience is required
Bachelor's degree (and/or requisite industry & management experience) as well as 5+ years of progressive management of facility services operations (custodial & maintenance) in a K-12 setting is strongly preferred
Ability to see capital projects and maintenance plans from conception to completion
Experience directing a staff of skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel in a union environment is required
Strong financial analysis, interpretation and computer skills are necessary
P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable
The candidate must have the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks/individuals simultaneously
Will be responsible for hiring, training and development and overall management of their staff
