Rolls-Royce is looking to recruit Facility Technicians / Test & Measurement

into Experimental Operations - Civil Aerospace. The Rolls-Royce Stennis Outdoor Test Facility is located on NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center Mississippi, just outside the city of New Orleans, LA. The Rolls-Royce Stennis Outdoor Test Facility is capable of testing Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines: large, small, and military. The Rolls-Royce Stennis Outdoor Test Facility is the only Rolls-Royce site capable of performing special tests such as fan flutter and noise testing. The current capability is being expanded to include a second test stand.

The desirable candidate for the position of Facility Technician / Test & Measurement

will have a broad background including a minimum of 2yrs technical degree and a minimum of 5yrs industrial maintenance experience in a facility maintenance environment with mechanical systems, electrical systems, measurement equipment, hydraulics, system calibration and computer based systems. The preferred candidate will have a varied background and be results driven.

The position of Facility Technician / Test & Measurement

will work as part of the T&M Facility team and work under the direction of a T&M Facility Leader.

Preparation of the test facility to support engine test operations including preventative maintenance tasks.

Preparation of the test facility and supporting equipment in accordance with scheduled instructions, making necessary repairs/adjustments as necessary.

Operation of special test equipment.

Carrying out system calibrations and be responsible for removing facility sensors for calibration.

Troubleshoot/fault finding all systems involved with the facility.

Gather and report system status and maintenance requirements.

Support the test operations with any reactive requirements to facility hardware issues.

Qualifications and experience



  • Must have an associates degree
in an area such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Calibration, Hydraulics or Aerospace Engineering; along with degree must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial work experience


In lieu of degree must have a minimum of 7 years working as a maintenance/fitter within a comparable industry (gas turbine or aerospace)
