Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in warehouse/shipping activities, purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function.

Follow production plan and weekly reporting numbers to BLADES Logistic.

Overall responsible for all production planning activities on site.

Secure production is running according to plan.

Always have an updated production plan.

Secure the factory at any time can deliver blades according to the demand plan.

Make sure that material is always sourced in time to support production plan.

Responsible for local sourcing agreements for components not handled by Strategic Purchaser.

Supplier Management for activities related to local site.

Secure budget for Logistics area.

Change in production plan as long it has no influence on the Demand plan.

Secure optimal and adequate organization in the Purchase and Logistic department to solve tasks.

Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.

Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.

Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports.

Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.

Designs, implements, manages, and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.

Directs the recruitment and maintaining of suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.

Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.

Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.

Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.

Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.

Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, and studies work flow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines.

Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.

Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.

Confers with Team Leads to ensure coordination of warehouse and shipping activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.

Directs salvage of damaged or used material.

Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.

Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to plan work activities.

Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery.

Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.

Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise.

Always work towards a better and more efficient Supply chain by: Working with lean principles, lower stock, better flow through the factory, optimize warehouse work, etc.

Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.

And all other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA strongly preferred

4 – 10 years of experience as a Logistics Manager in a production/manufacturing environment

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs

Experience with MRP Systems

Knowledge of Lean principles

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages 2-3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 35-40 employees in Warehouse and Shipping. Also directly supervises 8-12 non-supervisory employees.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
