Seeking full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join primary care office. Family Practice professional work experience required. MA license a strong plus.
Candidate should be the graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; previous Nurse Practitioner experience in a Physician office setting preferred. Masters Degree from a college or university program preparing nurses as Nurse Practitioners.
Candidate should also have the following qualifications: BCLS certification. Authorization from the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in the expanded role. Current certification as a NP from the American Nurses Credential Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Current US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substance registration number from the Department of Public Health.
Provider will be responsible for managing patients including health assessment, diagnoses, ordering and interpreting lab results, ordering therapeutics, ordering and/or writing prescriptions.
Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
In the direct role as the health care provider, he/she assesses, diagnoses, plans, intervenes, and evaluates client care in collaboration with the Practice Physician(s). In the indirect role as a member of the health care team, he/she is responsible for participating in the education of other health care providers, quality assurance/improvement and peer review.
Typical schedule is day-time office hours and alternating Saturdays with a pool of providers.
