Education and Experience Requirements The bank is seeking an experienced account officer, who is a detail-oriented analyst and underwriter with good decision-making ability and familiarity with account servicing and follow-up. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field, with a minimum of 5 (five) years prior lending experience in commercial lending, agribusiness financing or corporate finance. Requires at least an intermediate level of understanding in financial analysis and accounting standards, including financial statement analysis, forecasting, cash flow and collateral analysis. Excellent computer, interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills are required. This position is expected to work with some latitude and moderate oversight, and requires good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Purpose and Scope As a trusted member of the commercial credit team, the candidate will be responsible for an assigned portfolio of agribusiness participations and syndicated accounts. In addition, the successful candidate will play an active role in the Association Direct Lending Unit’s financial analysis and internal reporting on correspondent banking relationships and direct notes to affiliated lending institutions. This will include underwriting loan requests and customer annual reviews. In addition, the incumbent will support other department personnel in the underwriting and monitoring of large complex loans, and will develop industry analysis and peer group comparisons, and perform portfolio analysis and work on special projects as assigned. The position involves interaction with all levels of the bank and with affiliated lending institutions and correspondent banks.
