The Federal Sales Director will primarily expand our sales activity in the Federal space and contribute to our sales team through an exciting phase of growth and maturity. CipherCloud has proven technology, leadership, analyst recommendations, referenceable customers, a strong management team and stellar investors to be the market leader. The company is in the Cloud Data Protection segment, which has emerged as a must have requirement for organizations in US and worldwide, growing several times the software industry rate. CipherCloud has strong sales momentum that led to anchor accounts in top verticals such as financial services, high-tech, telcos, and government. CipherCloud has been recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor in Cloud Security for 2011. CipherCloud distributes using a reputed network of channel partners and talented direct sales. This position reports to the VP of WW Sales.
Direct sales responsibility for Federal accounts and attains revenue goal; Also covers commercial accounts in the Eastern Corridor.
Ability to own/deliver a personal sales quota; Potentially build up a team overtime based on growth.
Initiate, establish and maintain contact with team members, prospects, clients, and partners within assigned territory.
Develop recommendations for growth, opportunities for growth, and key target accounts in the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain a complete knowledge of CipherCloud products, policies and services.
Expand current and build new systems integrator and consulting partner go-to-market plans to scale business development and channel sales.
Accurately forecast and manage deal closure.
Desired Skills & Experience
Stellar sales executive with proven track record of achieving personal Sales quotas in Federal Accounts.
About 10 years of selling experience into the Federal agencies, Civilian and Defense; Also has experience in Commercial sector in the Eastern region.
Must have experience and strong relationships with the agencies esp CIO and CISO office;
Has experience guiding agencies in the Federal "Cloud First" initative; Proven Solution Selling Experience with SaaS and/or Security Solutions, Salesforce.com, Amazon AWS, Google Apps selling experience a strong plus
Strong Systems Integrator Teaming and channel experience in the Federal Space
Team Selling and Shared Territory Management Experience
Clear Communication and Executive Level Presentation Skills
Successful in a fast-growing early-stage companies
Ability and willingness to perform high-level product demonstrations
Bachelors Degree or higher
Travel - average once per month outside the area.
