Summary:

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Field Engineer for our job site in the Florida Keys. The candidate will be will be responsible for successful completion of specific project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

Primarily performs engineering duties in planning, construction, and maintenance of building structures for environmental (water, wastewater treatment) projects.

Maintain Schedules and Field Logs

Maintain Davis-Bacon Documentation

Assist Superintendent with payroll

Identify need for RFI's

Coordinate facility start up activities

Review shop drawings

Material purchasing

Expediting and handling

Maintain material control system

Layout, maintain drawing control system and field files

Other duties assigned by Project Superintendent

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited four year college and/or university in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.

Approximately 1-3 years of experience working with a General Contractor in Water and/or Waste Water facility construction only.

Good organizational and communication skills

Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Primavera Project Planning (P3) or Primavera SureTrak , Contract Manager skills are a plus.
