Field Marketing Manager – East Coast
The field marketing manager is responsible for creating and executing regional and local marketing programs that create awareness, generate leads, strengthen relationships, and otherwise assist the sales team in closing business with agencies, brands and retailers in the region.
This position is based in MaxPoint’s New York City office, but also supports the MaxPoint sales teams based in Boston, Miami, Cincinnati and Atlanta.
Collaborate with corporate marketing and sales leadership to create targeted local strategy and tactical plans.
Leverage corporate marketing resources (including design, content, events, branding, advertising and public relations) into locally relevant executions.
Implement national marketing programs in the field and develop local extensions and overlays.
Assist sales in the development and execution of unique local and regional strategies that complement national promotions.
Act as the local marketing resource for the region’s sales team and a liaison to corporate marketing functions.
Manage and track spending for the region and localities.
Evaluate the ROI of local and regional activities and recommend actions to improve performance.
Develop local and regional relationships with industry organizations.
Monitor, collect, evaluate and report on the competitive landscape in the region.
Assist in other marketing related activities as needed.
3-5 years of Marketing/Promotions/Advertising/Communication experience required; field marketing or advertising agency experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Must have experience developing, executing and tracking marketing plans and competitive response activities.
Must have strong marketing, project management, and vendor negotiation skills; budget management experience preferred.
Must be able to perform well working in a geographically dispersed team.
Must be able to manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
Must have experience with CRM programs such as Salesforce.
Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile. Strong personal work ethic.
Must have a customer service mindset.
Must have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs.
Should have strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors to meet business goals.
Needs to be a flexible, quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.
Ability to travel as required up to 50% of the time.
