Field Representative - SW Chicago

Reporting to the Director of Field Recruitment for Kendall College, the Field Representative is responsible for recruiting qualified students for Kendall College's regionally accredited degree programs. In addition, this individual is responsible for implementing all of the local recruitment efforts for culinary, hospitality, business & education professionals within a specified territory, (in this case, Southwest Chicago Area) and will support the overall strategic plan for Kendall College's enrollments.

The successful candidate will have a thorough and first-hand understanding of the professional development and graduate needs of culinary, hospitality, business and education students and professionals, as well as familiarity with the rapidly changing dynamics of related organizations. The Field Representative will be the local representative for Kendall College. In this role, the Field Representative must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for the professional development of culinary, hospitality, business & education as well as the value of higher education.

· Conduct 10-15 onsite enrollment activities per month, including--but not limited to--information sessions, organizational visits, and in-service programs.
· Publicize and market Kendall College by attending local, regional and national culinary, hospitality, business and education conferences and events, and participating in relevant activities in local communities.
· Understand and present Kendall College's programs to the targeted audience.
· With support from the Enrollment and Marketing teams, coordinate invitations, room setup, registrations, and materials for each session.
· Cooperate with other field staff to plan appropriate and strategic territory recruitment efforts for all of Kendall College degree programs.
· Build relationships with current students as well as alumni to identify new group potential and new opportunities to present Kendall programs.
· Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all culinary, hospitality, business & education degree programs, and the regulatory, operational and pedagogical complexities of the culinary, hospitality, business & education industries.
· Assist in other field-based efforts on behalf of Kendall College as required.
· Be based out of Southwest Chicago or nearby Southwest Chicago territory.
· Bachelor's degree required, with a background in culinary, hospitality, business & education strongly preferred.
· Must have 2-5 years experience in culinary, hospitality, business and education sales or education, preferably within the assigned territory.
· Demonstrated success developing relationships with associations and organizations is highly desirable.
· Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive and sales-oriented presentations to both small and large groups of culinary, hospitality, business & education professionals & prospective students.
· Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.
· Significant regional travel (50% or greater) is required.
· Ability to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities is essential.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is facility with technology and mediated communication.
