DESCRIPTION

The Field Sales Representative is a member of the Sales and Marketing Team within Gyrodata and as such supports efforts to grow Gyrodata's market share and revenue, with established and new clients, within his/her assigned district.

DUTIES

Duties / Essential Functions

  • Maintains daily contact with clients within the district primarily by visiting operational rigs
  • Prospects and develops potential new clients at the rig site in order to grow the district's client base
  • Provides superior customer service via creativity, responsiveness and strong interpersonal skills
  • Identifies and develops new market opportunities
  • Prepares technical and commercial proposals
  • Controls personal marketing expense
  • Supports the Business Development Director in overall cost control
  • Liaises with Gyrodata personnel at all levels to ensure superior customer service
  • Provides reports and forecasts as required
  • Visits on-going jobs to ensure client satisfaction
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Exhibits expert sales and marketing skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses strong technical knowledge of Gyrodata products and services
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members and clients
  • Maintains own workflow and meets deadlines
  • Possesses outstanding customer service skills
  • Responds to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external)
  • Supports and assists the other district sales representatives in city and field sales duties as required
  • Assists in other sales and marketing efforts, throughout the North America Region, as required
QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Bachelors Degree (Engineering or Business)
  • Three plus years oilfield experience or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert sales and marketing skills
  • Outstanding telephone and computer skills
Physical Requirements

  • Extensive driving and walking required
  • Ability to access all parts of a drilling rig
  • Light to moderate lifting
