Seagate Technology has an exciting Field Sales (Retail
Sales) opportunity based out of NewYork City, NY. The position will report
directly to the Sr. Sales Manager.
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for
achieving territory sales volume and profitability goals. You will oversee
the day-to-day output from the territory including: maximizing store
sales and an adequate product mix, shifting sales volumes to higher end and
focus products in order to achieve higher profitability of the retail sales
lines, including DAS, NAS and accessories and ensuring Seagate's strategy is
implemented within the assigned territory. You will also provide a high level
of customer service for the associate and store managers, identifying potential
sales opportunities at a local level and developing relationships with Managers
and District Managers and VPs to influence the sale of the Seagate Brand over
the competition. Finally, you will identify unique opportunities to maximize
sales within the territory that might include the design and execution of
incentive programs, cross-merchandising strategies and off-shelf positioning.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure and learn about the
retail business. We expect the candidates in this position to develop into a
leadership role within 3years.
Responsibilities include:
Implementing high quality training presentations and
mentoring store sales associates, being a brand advocate and influencing brand
preference for Seagate products with store personnel and management and
increasing brand representation and effectiveness through establishing and
maintain trade relationships
Identifying trends and opportunities, creating a supportive
selling environment within the territory and ensuring Seagate product presentation
in store is accurate
Managing product lifecycle within assigned territory to
comply with overall account strategy
Ensure new products are set up and launched, promotions are
executed and end of life products move out effectively
Managing in-store Merchandising , signage and obtaining
favorable or additional shelf placements
Minimizing out-of-stock situation and securing high traffic
shelf placements
Reporting store level information such as trainings
performed, in-stock levels, plan-o-gram compliance and competitive activity
Serving as a point for escalation for customer issues and as
the liaison between the stores and Seagate, ensuring timely and appropriate
resolution of customer issues
Assessing program effectiveness and making recommendations
for improvement
Qualifications
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business or
Marketing
·
2-3 years of successful retail sales experience
·
Proven track record of establishing,
building, and maintaining key relationships with Retail partners
·
Researching and understanding of the
customer's purchasing behavior in order to develop effective in-store
merchandising programs, includes monthly SOV and ad effectiveness analysis.

Demonstrates
good judgment in selecting methods and techniques in account management
·
Developing
in-depth relationships with customers to anticipate requirements and potential
issues
·
Solicits
customer feedback to improve products and services
·
Applying
creative solutions to problem solving, taking the initiative to decisively
achieve results
·
Collaborating with accounts and
merchandising team to create in-store (in-line/endcap/cross merchandising)
·
Planning and executing POP and
merchandising renderings, training, promotions and launch
·
Travel
