Location: This position is a Virtual, US based location with 90% travel.

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, chemical or Electrical Engineering

Minimum of Three (3) years of applicable experience working with Industrial Automation and Process Systems.

Working knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Industrial Control System principles.

Fluency with National Electrical Code and ISA/ANSI Specifications as they apply to Industrial Process Systems.


Responsible for independently directing the installation of Pall’s Separation System Product by the Customer’s Contractors. Oversees the proper installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of Pall’s Separation System Products by Customers’ Engineers and/or Technicians and/or Contract Engineers/Technicians. Will be responsible for providing off-site direction and oversight to Pall’s, Customer’s and/or Contractor’s field personnel on other Pall projects simultaneously.

Will act as Lead Systems Field Engineer on assignments that such an Engineer is not on site during the installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of the Pall Separation System Product. This will entail handling the responsibilities of providing direction and supervision to lower level Engineers. Provide General Supervision of Customer’s and/or Contracted Engineers and/or Technicians to ensure compliance with proper Pall System Designs, Industrial requirements and environmental regulations, etc.

Establishes Customer priorities in conjunction with the Lead Systems Field Engineer or Market Field Services Manager. Customer’s systems include the specific Pall Separation Product integrated into a complete process system utilizing tanks, pumps, compressors, drives, automated valves, process + analytical instrumentation interfaced to a PLC based control system with a graphical user interface front end.

Responsible for testing and troubleshooting all systems hardware. Responsible for troubleshooting PLC software and HMI software based on established designs and Customer’s requirements. Provides technical direction to Customers and/or Contractors regarding the Pall System.

Must independently make and/or implement design and document modifications as required to reflect actual installation results versus original designs. This requires the ability to properly and effectively mark-up engineering drawings on CAD systems. This also requires indepth knowledge of customers’ vendors, suppliers and contractor’s part, equipment, process controls and materials. Responsible for conveying modifications back to Design Engineering.

Independently resolves adverse situations in a professional and constructive manner. Maintains a positive relationship with Customer. Required to independently make sound technical and financial decisions to resolve conflicts that arise during installation, testing and/or servicing of Pall Systems to meet Customer requirements while maintaining Pall’s commercial interests. If a situation arises in which incumbent cannot resolve, he/she will involve the Lead Systems Field Engineer.

Responsible for training Customer and/or Contracted site personnel in the proper operation of the Pall’s Separation System. Must prepare training materials for various Pall Systems Technologies.

Assignments will involve travel to specified sites (both domestic and international) to perform above required activities. Travel may take place on evenings or weekends as required to meet the customer’s need. Travel schedules will be arranged as directed by the Services Manager and will be in accordance with the Pall Systems Services Group Travel Policy.

Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of Time Tracking, Site Visit Reports, Expense Reports and other business related documents.

Responsible performing all services in compliance with applicable Pall, site and industrial safety practices.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Understands and complies with company safety policies and procedures as related to this position, including reading all relevant safety literature, using required protective equipment and practicing good housekeeping.

Participates in the Journey and/or Total Quality Process by embracing and promoting Company vision/mission if applicable.
