Work Schedule: 2PM-10PM Monday-Friday
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Logistics Manager (CO) or the Pharmacy Supervisor (FL) ensure patients prescriptions are filled and prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for filling and preparing prescription orders in a timely manner.
Accountable for stocking and managing the robotic counting machine.
Make sure fast mover medications are well stocked.
Responsible for keeping the pharmacy clean based on a cleaning schedule.
Accountable for checking expired drugs on a monthly basis and making the necessary quantity adjustments in the inventory.
Responsible for scanning in and putting away the daily orders from the wholesalers.
Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPPA.
Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Technicians will be required to assist with inventory when it is assigned.
Perform routine, professional pharmacy functions.
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (or must obtain within 6 months of employment), in good standing.
Registered with the State of Florida (Florida techs only)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
One year minimum of pharmacy experience
Skills:
Ability to fill 30 prescriptions per hour.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
Ability to work in a standing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
