This position will serve as Finance Manager responsible for managing and implementing changes to existing financial processes to ensure consistency. Initially, the position will serve as a Project Manager for implementation of improved forecasting processes utilizing Cognos.

Principal Accountabilities

Serve as Project Manager for the Cognos implementation project and the primary point of coordination between the Sites and Senior Management in developing an implementation plan that improves forecast accuracy, improves analyses while reducing overall costs consistent with company vision.

Review each Sites current forecasting and budgeting process, identify how those processes can be transitioned and develop a realistic milestone plan to transition from current Excel based forecasting system to a centralized database forecasting system. Work with the Sites to redesign their processes to achieve a more efficient and accurate process.

Drive Site implementation to completion, identifying, managing and providing solutions to obstacles and risks without compromising the schedule.

Capture best practices and communicate and replicate those practices across Sites.

Work to ensure a consistent process across all Sites for key forecasting elements.

Identify critical business requirements/obstacles to achieving the company vision.

Assess potential solutions, develop alternatives and recommend the go-forward solution.

Prioritize solutions based on overall impact to the business.

Implement solutions in a timely manner.

Conduct regular project reviews and communicate status to leadership.

Work with the Sites to improve the flow of information with no manual intervention in the process.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferable.
Technical expertise in cost accounting and financial forecasting.
Demonstrated experienced in developing and analyzing forecasts.
Experienced in developing accounting and financial systems and processes.
Ability to map “As is” and “To Be processes and identify opportunities for a more accurate and efficient forecasting process.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of software tools, with a strong understanding of Excel, creation and use of pivot tables, development and use of macros.
Proven track record in managing and delivering projects on time.
Manufacturing/Operations Accounting experience.
Highly flexible and willing to accept new ideas and processes.
Able to coach, mentor and develop associates.
Highly motivated and self-starter.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical.
Proven team player able to work well with others.
Able to work both at a detail and macro level and recommend alternative ways to solve problems while achieving the vision.
