Principal International is currently seeking top talent for a Financial Accounting Analyst opportunity to work on the Member Company Analyst team. In this role, you will partner closely with other teams regarding the reporting of the companys financials into the Principal International consolidated financial results. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper implementation of US GAAP emerging guidance, reporting of issues and driving resolution as well as the accounting reporting policy for both IFRS and US GAAP for that country. This position will also help with special projects as needed.
Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience is required.
-Four to six years of relevant accounting experience is preferred with a solid understanding of US GAAP accounting and reporting procedures.
-Prefer candidates with IFRS knowledge as well as bilingual abilities (English to Spanish) however not required.
-CPA or other applicable certifications preferred.
-Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required. Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change.
-PC and/or system skills required.
-Travel may be required roughly 1-2 times per year.
-May be required to become an associated person of Princor Financial Services Corporation, which requires fingerprinting, and a full background check.
