The Finance Administrative Assistant will support the objectives of the Accounting Department while assisting operations with forecasting, budget, labor and inventory controls, analysis, auditing as well as operational responsibilities for a specific customer. Acts as a strategic and analytic resource for the Business Unit, prepares reporting, including annual client budget and requisite weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Manages AP, AR and payroll. The Finance Admin will work with the Facility Manager and be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Assisting in the development of budgets, strategic plans, operations analysis and special projects involving systems and reporting, business improvement, cost analysis and others.
Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Assist in unit forecast and unit accounting.
Oversight of tier-two sub-contractor cost.
Conduct period inventory and perform other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting agency standards.
Also be responsible for daily interaction with the client and client's customers and/or employees.
The position will also involve significant interface with operating units and other support functions.
Payroll processing, including verification of hours and data entry and check processing
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. A minimum of one to two years of progressively responsible field and/or analytical financial experience required. Experience in vendor invoicing and validation is preferred. The position requires good interpersonal and communication skills, presentation and training experience in classroom or business setting, and sound judgment. Additionally, ideal candidates will possess an aptitude for problem solving, the ability to adapt to new situations and interface with senior management. Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and data base software required.
