Work as part of the Financial Aid team to provide student-focused service and guidance regarding financial aid programs, educational funding options and the financial aid application process. Assist with the processing of student aid applications, awarding of aid, and the administration of specific programs and/or functions of the office to assure effective and efficient delivery of service and financial resources to students and their families. Understand and implement aid eligibility and awarding policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Education
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Applicant must demonstrate strong communication skills-written and verbal-and the ability to work individually as well as part of a team. Counseling and interpersonal communication skills, focused on assisting students and parents in making informed decisions regarding paying for college, necessary. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to manage specific programs or functions within an office. Commitment to the mission, values, and goals of the university, including the desire to seek, welcome and work with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff, expected. Hours are 9AM-6PM during the academic year and 8AM-5PM in the summer. Occasional evening and weekends are required.
Preferred Qualifications and Education
Experience working in a public postsecondary institution preferred. Financial aid experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge and experience in using a large database system (preferably Banner), administrative software, imaging and workflow applications desired.
