Seeking a self-motivated organized Financial Analyst to become part of the Finance Department to assist with month-end activities, accrual analysis, and other activities to support the business.
This position will assist in the month-end closing process which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis on accounts.
Provide scheduling, guidance, and reporting coordination of offsite ledger locations.
Responsible for fixed assets and ensuring compliance with cycle count or physical inventory requirements as well as timely CIP closures.
Prepare annual tax package and any forecasting or monthly reporting requirements.
Provide support for development of accounting procedures.
Provide backup support as needed to other individuals in the department.
Maintain, support and actively participate in internal control requirements as well as ensuring compliance with policies.
Performs all other duties and special projects as required by management.
Minimum of one to three years experience in the area of finance.
Preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle more than one task at a time.
Ability to write reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, etc.
Individual who is action oriented and excellent people skills highly desirable; strong computer skills required.
Knowledge of software such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Excel, Access, PowerPoint highly beneficial; strong data mining and analysis skills required; strong project management skills very beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
CPA desired, but not required
