We are looking for a Financial Analyst to lead the Original and Exclusive Series effort on our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Primary responsibilities will include building budgets and forecasts, preparing reports for management, and assisting with content & marketing performance tracking of individual campaigns and forecasting of future marketing campaigns. While some pieces will be routine, many projects will be ad hoc. Due to the “undefined” nature of the work, the successful candidate will have the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, problem-solve, and efficiently execute deliverables. This position reports to the Manager, FP&A Content and works as part of a small team focused on content performance that is part of the larger FP&A and Accounting group which supports the entirety of Hulu's business.
Preparing and building weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics reporting packages for management
Assessing online marketing performance and ROI by benchmarking against historical metrics
Compiling weekly performance data from all offline (TV, radio) and online marketing campaigns (SEM, display, and video)
Establishing marketing campaign goals upfront prior to campaigns with relation to impressions served, CTR, unique visitors, views, completion rate, etc.
Valuing potential series for financial viability/lead preparation of series green light estimates
Interface and develop formal processes with various departments, notably the Content Development and Marketing teams
Digging deep into mass data files, analyzing and calculating internal traffic metrics
Assisting with the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual projections
Actual vs. budget variance analysis
Creating and maintaining a long-range Original and Exclusive Series business plan
1-3 years of FP&A work at a studio, production company or other relevant entertainment/marketing experience
Bachelor's degree with a major/emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred
Exceptional analytical abilities, strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with analyzing success metrics for marketing campaigns
Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics/Adwords, Facebook Insights, etc.
Knowledge of online pricing structures (CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL) and media types (banners, skyscrapers, etc.)
Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency and ability to work extended hours
Experience in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment is a plus
Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
